<reviewbody>Loaded with irony, 'The Scar' is an entertaining and well-made film noir character study of a narcissist, played by Paul Henreid.

With gangsters looking to murder him, he takes advantage of his uncanny resemblance to a practicing psychologist by replacing him and thus hiding in plain sight. In the days before photo IDs, computerized databases, and the internet, there were easier ways to assume a new identity, but the challenge appealed to this man.

But bad guys always lose, and he does, in the greatest irony at the end of the film.

I downloaded the 419MB MPEG-4 file. Video and audio are OK, though it needs deinterlacing.</reviewbody>
    <reviewtitle>A fine film</reviewtitle>
